UK care home operator Bondcare is planning to bid for Four Seasons Health Care, it has been reported.
Sky News reported that Leib Levison, founder and chief executive of Bondcare, is leading a bid for Four Seasons. But it said that “it's unclear whether Bondcare is bidding alone or with partners”.
Bondcare last year took back the 39 homes it had leased to Southern Cross. It currently operates 91 homes, including 73 for which it owns the freehold.
The Sky News report also claimed that Four Seasons has asked bidders to submit offers by early next week.
Last week, private equity firm Terra Firma was also identified
as one of the shortlisted bidders for Four Seasons, which is looking to raise new equity as part of a refinancing deal for its £780 million debt.
