Alliance Medical overhauls management team
|
|
Diagnostics group Alliance Medical has made a series of appointments to its executive team in recent weeks.
Guy Blomfield became chief executive at the end of June, moving up from the position of chief operating officer. The company had been without a chief executive after Philippe Houssiau resigned in January.
Chairman Chris Hughes, who took on an executive position during the interim period, has reverted back to a non-executive role since Blomfield took over.
Shortly after Blomfield’s appointment, Nick Burley was appointed chief financial officer, while chief medical officer Charles Niehaus was promoted to the board.
Burley joins from Tianhe Chemicals Group, a Chinese chemicals group where he served as CFO.
Blomfield commented: “Nick Burley brings a wealth of experience of managing finance for global companies. He will bring huge value to our team as Alliance looks to consolidate its position across Europe and move the business forward. Charles will bring greater strategic clinical focus to the group board as we continue to develop our services.
“These appointments help provide Alliance with a firm footing for developing our business at a time when demand from health services for high quality and efficient diagnostics has never been higher.”
