Nuffield Health chief executive David Mobbs took home the top prize at this year’s HealthInvestor Awards, beating off competition from the biggest names in healthcare.
Mobbs accepted the ‘outstanding contribution by an individual’ award in front of a 900-strong audience at the Hilton Park Lane on 27 May, which included many of the independent health sector’s most influential leaders.
The judging panel, which included former health minister Lord Darzi, described Mobbs as “steady, visionary and strategic”.
Chief executive of General Healthcare Group Adrian Fawcett and KPMG’s Mark Britnell were also shortlisted for the award.
In other categories, Care UK was named primary care provider of the year and Pulse won staffing agency of the year.
Nuffield Health also picked up the ‘third sector organisation of the year’ awards.
