Winners of the HealthInvestor Awards 2016 revealed
HCA Healthcare UK, Voyage Care and Avery Healthcare Group were among the various health and social care providers honoured at the HealthInvestor Awards 2016.
On Wednesday 15 June, HCA regained its crown as private hospital group of the year, Voyage Care carried off the prize for specialist provider, while Avery won the award for residential care provider.
The HealthInvestor Awards, which was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, is an annual celebration of those who invest in, advise, lend to and operate in the health and social care markets.
BBC veteran John Humphrys hosted the event, which was attended by over 1,200 people.
Other winners include Bridges Ventures, for investor of the year, babylon, which was named IT innovator of 2016 and Circle Health and the NHS for best example of a public-private partnership.
This year, the award for outstanding contribution by an individual went to PJ Care chair Jan Flawn. After leaving school with no qualifications, Flawn became a nurse and worked her way up to become a senior manager at the Department of Health before founding PJ Care.
