Belgian real estate company Cofinimmo has entered the UK healthcare market by acquiring three nursing and care homes together providing 196 beds, for approximately £57 million.
Ferrars Hall in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire was purpose built in 2016. It offers residential and specialist dementia care and comprises 66 bedrooms.
Lakeview Lodge is a 66-bedroom purpose-built care home located to the south of Milton Keynes constructed in 2017 and providing personalised, family-led care.
Oakview Lodge in Welwyn Garden City, Herfordshire was purpose built in 2018 and comprises a 64-bedroom nursing home offering nursing, residential and dementia care.
The sites are fully leased to Country Court Care Group.
Jean-Pierre Hanin, chief executive of Cofinimmo, said: “With our entry into British healthcare real estate, we take an important step in the execution of our corporate strategy to build and to consolidate our leadership position in European healthcare real estate. With the United Kingdom, we add a ninth country to our geographic presence, the third new country we entered this year.”
