NHS Employers has appointed Paul Wallace as its new director of employment relations and reward.

Wallace will start his new position at the organisation in spring and replace Gill Bellord, who is to retire in April.

Previously, Wallace worked as group head of reward in the Ministry of Justice, responsible for its pay and reward strategy. He also worked as head of reward in the HM Prison Service.

Danny Mortimer, chief executive of NHS Employers, said: “Pay, rewards and employment contracts sit right at the centre of discussions about NHS sustainability, so I’m extremely pleased to have someone as talented as Paul taking this area forward.”
