Hallmark Care Homes has acquired the former Methodist Homes (MHA) St Raphael’s care home site in Bromley to redevelop into a state of the art new care home with assistance from care home construction company, Savista Developments.

The site was sold without planning on an unconditional basis and completed within 3 months of an offer being submitted. Advisers Carterwood were able to demonstrate a good level of demand and strong housing wealth to interested parties using high-quality data and sector-specialist analysis.

Andrew White, MHA director of property, said: “Carterwood are one of our key advisers, so thank you for acting on our behalf during this sale. This was the fourth successful disposal in which they have done so and as usual they were able to use their sector expertise to find the right buyer, and their experience to bring this deal to a successful conclusion. We’re delighted with the outcome.”

Avnish Goyal, chair of Hallmark Care Homes and managing director of Savista Developments said: “We’re pleased to have concluded the purchase of this site with support from our sister company, Savista, in which we see great potential to bring an outstanding new care environment to the local community.”

Tom Hartley, Carterwood director, said: “We were delighted to act on behalf of MHA in this sale. Avnish and the team at Savista have a fantastic track record and I’m certain that they will be successful in their plans for this site. It’s clear that despite the difficult current market conditions, there are still deals to be done for those considering longer-term strategic moves.”
