Luxury care home developer Hamberley Development has completed a multimillion-pound care home in Basingstoke for operator Care UK.
Dashwood Manor was constructed by the Highwood Group and comprises 70 en suite bedrooms, a café, a private dining room, a hair and beauty salon, activity room, a resident’s cinema and pub, spacious lounges and dining rooms.
John Austin, managing director of Hamberley Development, said: “We are delighted to hand over Dashwood Manor to Care UK on time and on budget, despite the many challenges of the last 16 months. This home is part of a wider healthcare development including 40 retirement living apartments and a 28-bed neurological rehab care facility. Hamberley is committed to planning, designing and building the very highest quality care environments in the UK to ensure that people can access outstanding care provision in their local areas. Every aspect of this building is designed to maximise the ability for the provider to deliver safe and truly personalised care, whilst giving the residents, and their families, the feeling of living in luxury.”
Dil Perera, home manager for Dashwood Manor, added: “It’s been very exciting to see the development progress since I came on board as home manager for Dashwood Manor – Hamberley Development and Highwood Group have done a fantastic job. Myself and the team can’t wait to welcome residents and their families to the home when we open this September – I know the lifestyle and facilities will be second to none.”
Hamberley Development’s sister operating company, Hamberley Care Homes has 12 care homes across the UK including in London, the South of England, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey, and Scotland.
Hamberley Development said it has a pipeline of 20 homes, at various stages of development, and added it is in discussions with other providers to develop homes for their groups.
