Divisional Director | Elderly Care | Privately Backed

LOCATION: Central England, Location flexible

SALARY: £100,000 – £120,000 GBP p/a + Bonus (c40%)

Compass Executives are proud to be working exclusively with a large elderly care provider who are about to embark on a period of growth through new build and acquisition.

As a business our client has an expanding portfolio with currently over 40 homes UK wide

As a result of continued investment in the business and to oversee the exciting growth plans, we are delighted to announce that we are looking for a Divisional Director to lead the portfolio. You will be responsible for the operation of c20 care homes with c1,500 beds in England and oversee area managers.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will provide effective and inspirational leadership to home managers and their wider teams, maintaining high standards to ensure our customers receive the highest quality person centred care and support. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high quality staff are recruited and utilised efficiently and effectively to produce the best results.


The candidate must ensure each home in the area has a vision and plan to promote company objectives, and that each colleague working in or supporting that home helps drive change to achieve the vision and deliver kind care.

The successful candidate will have to ensure effective financial management control in the area, including budget management, payroll costs, resourcing, agency control, capital expenditure, occupancy levels and revenue enhancement to meet business performance targets for revenue and EBITDAR.

Expertise Desired:

  • At least 5 years’ senior management level experience within a care home environment.
  • Commercially focussed individual.
  • History of multi-site leadership.
  • Management of finance systems and budgets.
  • Track record of working in a fast paced and high energy environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory body in Scotland
  • Approachable, personable, and collegiate.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow-through to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Can evidence recruitment and retention schemes that have impacted positively on a business.
